Best Video Interviewing Software: Pricing Compared
Most roundups of the best video interviewing software rank features and skip the number buyers actually need. Only four vendors in this category publish a US rate at all, and they range from $75 a month to a quote you have to request. Every published figure, read from the vendor's own page in September 2026, with the quote-only platforms marked as such.

Short answer: if you want a published US rate, there are only four real options and they are far apart. Hireflix is the cheapest at $75 a month for companies under 50 employees, with unlimited seats, unlimited positions and unlimited interview responses on every plan. Spark Hire is $249 a month billed annually for unlimited jobs and users. TestGorilla starts free and charges $142 a month for its Core plan. Willo bills per live role at £49, in pounds, not dollars. HireVue, VidCruiter and Jobma publish nothing at all and route every buyer to a quote form.

How much does video interviewing software cost?
Between $75 a month and a quote you have to ask for. That range is wide because this category splits cleanly into two groups: a handful of vendors who put a number on a public page and sell to you without a call, and a larger group who treat pricing as the first step of a sales process.
Here is every video interviewing platform with a rate you can actually look up.
| Platform | Entry rate | What the entry rate covers | Free trial |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hireflix | $75 a month, billed yearly | Under 50 employees. Unlimited seats, positions and responses | 1 month free |
| TestGorilla | Free, then $142 a month | Assessment platform; AI interviews cost 2 credits per candidate | Free plan |
| Spark Hire | $249 a month, billed annually | Unlimited jobs and unlimited users | Not advertised |
| Willo | £49 per live role | Pay as you go, no contract. Priced in pounds | Free tier available |
| HireVue | Not published | No rates, no tiers, no self-serve signup | Not advertised |
| VidCruiter | Not published | Pricing page is a request form | Not advertised |
| Jobma | Not published | Pricing page is titled "request a custom quote" | Not advertised |
Two warnings belong with that table. Willo prices in British pounds, and a widely circulated third-party article quoted its plans in dollars at roughly double the real figure, which was wrong in both the currency and the number. If you are a US buyer, get the USD rate confirmed in writing before you budget. And TestGorilla is an assessment platform that includes AI interviews rather than a dedicated interviewing tool, so it belongs on the shortlist for a different reason than the others.
Which video interviewing software is cheapest?
Hireflix, by a wide margin, and the gap is larger than the headline suggests. At $75 a month billed yearly for companies under 50 employees, it is roughly a third of Spark Hire's standalone video interview rate. The part that matters more is what the rate includes: Hireflix states plainly that all plans include all features regardless of company size or plan, and lists unlimited user seats, unlimited positions and unlimited interview responses on every tier, along with GraphQL API access, webhooks, white label branding, custom domains and automatic transcriptions.
That is an unusual posture in hiring software. Most vendors in this space use the entry plan as a funnel and put API access, single sign-on or the volume you actually need behind an upgrade. Hireflix's second tier, at $150 a month for companies with 50 to 250 employees, buys nothing extra in features. You pay more only because you are bigger.
The trade-off is scope. Hireflix does one-way video interviewing and does it thoroughly. It integrates with Lever, BambooHR, Teamtailor, Recruitee, JazzHR, SmartRecruiters, Greenhouse, Workable and Ashby rather than replacing them. If you want the interview step bolted onto an applicant tracking system you already run, that is exactly right. If you want one vendor for the whole pipeline, it is not the product.
Is Spark Hire worth the price?
It depends on whether you buy the video product alone or the applicant tracking system around it, and there is a pricing quirk worth knowing before you choose.
Spark Hire sells one-way video interviews standalone at $249 a month billed annually, or $299 a month with no contract. The counterintuitive part is that the cheaper annual plan is also the more generous one: $249 gets unlimited jobs and unlimited users, while the $299 monthly option caps you at five jobs at a time and five users. Paying for flexibility costs 20 percent more and gives you materially less, which is the reverse of what most buyers assume.
The fuller picture is the applicant tracking system, Recruit, which bundles video interviewing into a hiring platform at $335 a month for Pro and $499 for Growth. Those rates come with a caveat Spark Hire states in its own FAQ and almost no comparison article repeats: they apply to companies with up to 50 employees, and above that pricing scales with headcount. The full breakdown of Spark Hire pricing, including the annual AI resume review caps, works through what that means for a larger employer.
| Spark Hire option | Rate | Jobs | Users |
|---|---|---|---|
| Video Interviews, annual | $249 a month | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Video Interviews, monthly | $299 a month | Up to 5 at a time | Up to 5 |
| Recruit Pro (ATS with video) | $335 a month | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Recruit Growth (ATS with video) | $499 a month | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Does HireVue publish pricing?
No. HireVue has no public rates, no named tiers, no self-serve signup and no advertised free trial. Every route through its site ends at a demo request. It is an enterprise platform sold through a sales process, and it is generally understood to be the most expensive option in this comparison, though since nothing is published that cannot be stated as a figure.
There is a second thing about HireVue that matters more than its price for anyone shopping to solve an application volume problem. HireVue does not screen, parse, score or rank resumes. Every one of its AI products acts on something the candidate actively completes: an interview, an assessment, a game. If your problem is that 600 people applied and nobody has read past the first 40, an interviewing platform of any kind is the wrong tool, because it only starts working after you have already decided who to invite.
That distinction applies to this whole category. Video interviewing compresses the phone screen. It does not touch the pile.
What is the best one-way video interview software for high volume hiring?
For high volume specifically, the pricing model matters more than the feature list, because the thing that scales is the number of candidates, not the number of recruiters.
Willo's per-live-role model is the outlier here and it cuts both ways. At £49 per live role per month with no contract, a team running two openings pays very little, and a team running thirty pays a great deal. It suits seasonal or spiky hiring and it punishes steady high volume. Hireflix and Spark Hire both go the other way with flat unlimited plans, which is the friendlier shape when application counts are large and unpredictable.
The harder truth for high volume employers is sequencing. A warehouse, customer service or driver posting in a major US metro can draw several hundred applications in a fortnight. Inviting all of them to a one-way video interview does not reduce the work, it relocates it, because now somebody has to watch the videos. The step that actually removes work is the one before it: reading and ranking the inbound applications so only a qualified shortlist reaches the interview stage at all. That is what high volume recruiting software is for, and why bulk resume screening and video interviewing are complements rather than alternatives.
Get the order right and the interviewing budget goes further, because you are paying to interview 30 qualified people instead of 300 unfiltered ones. It is also the point at which the rest of your hiring stack starts to matter: once someone clears the interview, the handoff into a structured onboarding and certification program is what determines whether the hire is productive in week two or week eight.
Which video interviewing platforms include AI?
Most of them now, but the AI does different jobs and only some of it is included in the published rate.
| Platform | What its AI does | Reads inbound resumes? |
|---|---|---|
| Spark Hire | AI video review, interview summaries, transcription, notetaker, AI resume review | Yes, capped at 6,000 to 36,000 reviews a year by plan |
| Hireflix | Automatic video transcriptions | No |
| HireVue | Assessments and interview analysis on completed candidate activity | No |
| Jobma | Autonomous AI interviewing, interview fraud prevention | Not published |
| TestGorilla | AI interviews at 2 credits per candidate; resume scoring at 1 credit | Yes, and resume scoring is free on every tier |
| Willo | Screening and ID checking | No |
| VidCruiter | Structured interviews, video proctoring, skills testing | Not published |
TestGorilla is the quiet outlier in that table. Resume scoring is included free on every tier including the $0 plan, at one credit per candidate, which is the cheapest published route to automated resume review of any vendor here. Spark Hire is the only dedicated interviewing vendor that both reads resumes and tells you how much of it you get, publishing annual allowances of 6,000 reviews on Pro, 24,000 on Growth and 36,000 on Enterprise. Publishing a cap is more useful than hiding one, even when the cap is the constraint.
Should I buy video interviewing separately or inside an ATS?
Separately, if you already have an applicant tracking system you are not planning to replace. Together, if you are buying or replacing one anyway.
The arithmetic is straightforward. Hireflix at $75 a month alongside your existing system is cheaper than any bundled option, and its integration list covers most of the mainstream platforms. Spark Hire Recruit Pro at $335 a month replaces the applicant tracking system entirely, which is only worth it if you actually want to migrate. A migration is measured in weeks of internal time that never appears on the invoice, so the bundled option has to be meaningfully better, not marginally cheaper, to justify itself.
One more variable belongs in the decision. Several vendors in this category, Spark Hire included, sell on annual contracts only, so the commitment is a year regardless of how the monthly rate is presented. Hireflix offers a month of free use before you commit. Willo will sell you a single role with no contract at all. If you have not run one-way video interviews before, starting with the vendor that lets you stop is worth more than saving $30 a month.
For the wider picture on what a hiring stack costs, our applicant tracking system pricing comparison puts every published rate side by side, and the roundups of the best ATS for small business and the best ATS for recruiters and agencies work through the same rates against real headcounts.
The bottom line for a US buyer
Shortlist Hireflix if you want the lowest published rate and unlimited usage without a feature ladder. Shortlist Spark Hire if you want video interviewing, behavioral assessment and resume review from one vendor and are willing to commit annually. Shortlist TestGorilla if assessments matter as much as interviews and you want a free tier to test with. Ask HireVue, VidCruiter and Jobma for quotes only if you have an enterprise requirement the published vendors genuinely cannot meet, because you will spend weeks finding out what they cost.
And whichever you pick, decide first whether your bottleneck is the interview or the pile in front of it. Video interviewing is a good answer to "our phone screens take too long." It is not an answer to "we get 500 applications and read 50 of them."
