Spark Hire pricing: what Spark Hire ATS costs, the video interview rates, and the AI resume review caps per plan
Spark Hire sells three products and prices them separately. The applicant tracking system, called Recruit, starts at $335 a month for Pro and $499 a month for Growth, both billed annually. One-way video interviews and the predictive behavioral assessment are each sold on their own from $249 a month annually or $299 a month without a contract. Two things about those figures matter more than the figures themselves, and neither is obvious from the pricing page.
The first is who the headline rate is for. Spark Hire's own FAQ states that $335 and $499 are the rates for companies with up to 50 employees, and that above 50 employees pricing scales with headcount. The Pro plan is sold to companies up to 200 employees and Growth up to 500. So the advertised number describes a company a quarter the size of the plan's own ceiling, and a 180-person employer looking at $335 is reading a floor, not a quote.
The second is the cap. Spark Hire's AI Resume Review, the feature that makes this an interesting product for anyone drowning in applications, is metered by the year: 6,000 reviews on Pro, 24,000 on Growth, 36,000 on Enterprise. For a high-volume employer that allowance, not the monthly rate, is the number that decides which plan works.
Why it works
What an uncapped screening layer gets your team
No annual review ceiling
Spark Hire meters AI Resume Review at 6,000 reviews a year on its entry plan, which is 500 a month. Prescreener is built for the pile that does not fit inside an allowance like that.
Screening is the product
At Spark Hire, resume review is one feature inside an applicant tracking system you also have to adopt. Prescreener does the reading and ranking only, in front of the system you already run.
No annual contract to sign
Spark Hire states plainly that Recruit cannot be bought month to month. Evaluating a screening layer should not require a year of commitment before you see it work on your own applicants.
What it handles
Parsed, scored and ranked on autopilot
Prescreener reads every inbound resume, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, asks the screening questions you set, scores role-fit against consistent criteria, and ranks the applicant pile so your recruiters review the top matches first.
- Reads 100 percent of inbound applications, with no annual review allowance
- Published pricing, so the evaluation does not start with a headcount question
- Applies your knockout and eligibility rules identically to every applicant
- Returns the pile ranked, with written evidence behind each placement
- Runs alongside Spark Hire, Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Workable or Lever
- No seat count to true up and no API access to license separately
- Never auto-rejects: it ranks and flags, and a recruiter decides
- Bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144
Why Prescreener
One step that screens the whole inbound pile
Not a full ATS, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Parse, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the criteria you already hire on.
Reads every resume
Prescreener parses every inbound application, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, and asks the screening questions you set. Applicants consent and are told AI is screening their application, so no qualified person sits in a backlog for days.
Scores role-fit consistently
Every applicant is scored against the same criteria, with a transparent reason on each candidate, so the pile is compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144.
Ranks the pile
The strongest matches rise to the top of a ranked pile your recruiters review first. Prescreener never auto-rejects, it ranks and flags candidates for review, and your team makes every decision.
In depth
Spark Hire pricing, product by product, with the caps written in
How much does Spark Hire cost?
Between $249 and $499 a month for a published plan, depending on which of the three products you buy. Spark Hire is one of the minority of vendors in this category that puts real numbers on a public page, and the numbers are specific enough to budget against.
The applicant tracking system is the flagship. Recruit Pro is $335 a month and Recruit Growth is $499 a month, both billed annually, with Recruit Enterprise sold by quote. The one-way video interview product and the predictive behavioral assessment are separate purchases at $249 a month billed annually, or $299 a month with no contract.
The two standalone products deserve a closer look, because the cheaper option is also the more generous one. At $249 a month on an annual plan you get unlimited jobs and unlimited users. At $299 a month with no contract you are limited to five jobs at a time and five users. So the month-to-month option costs 20 percent more and gives you materially less. That is the opposite of how most buyers expect a monthly plan to work, and it is worth knowing before you choose flexibility over the annual rate.
Spark Hire adds "plus applicable sales tax" to its rates and confirms in its FAQ that the applicant tracking system is available on an annual contract or longer only. There is no month-to-month path into Recruit at any price.
| Spark Hire product | Rate | Billing | What the rate covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recruit Pro (ATS) | $335 a month | Annual contract only | Up to 50 employees; plan sold up to 200 |
| Recruit Growth (ATS) | $499 a month | Annual contract only | Up to 50 employees; plan sold up to 500 |
| Recruit Enterprise (ATS) | Talk to Sales | Annual contract only | No published rate |
| Video Interviews, annual | $249 a month | Billed annually | Unlimited jobs, unlimited users |
| Video Interviews, monthly | $299 a month | No contract | Up to 5 jobs, up to 5 users |
| Behavioral Assessment, annual | $249 a month | Billed annually | Unlimited jobs, unlimited users |
| Behavioral Assessment, monthly | $299 a month | No contract | Up to 5 jobs, up to 5 users |

Does Spark Hire use AI to screen resumes, and how many can it review?
Yes, and unlike most of its competitors Spark Hire tells you exactly how much of it you get. AI Resume Review is included on all three Recruit plans, and each plan carries a published annual allowance: 6,000 reviews a year on Pro, 24,000 on Growth, 36,000 on Enterprise.
Publishing those numbers is genuinely unusual and it is to Spark Hire's credit. Ashby, Workable, Breezy and Recruitee all meter their screening features too, and most of them either bury the allowance or decline to say how much of it a single review consumes. Spark Hire states a flat count of reviews, which you can actually forecast against.
Now do the arithmetic, because this is where the plan choice is really made. Pro's 6,000 reviews a year is 500 a month. That is comfortable for a company running a handful of requisitions with fifty applicants each. It is not comfortable for high-volume hiring. One warehouse or customer service posting in a major US metro can draw several hundred applications in a fortnight, and three of those running at once will spend the annual allowance before the fourth quarter.
If that describes your hiring, the honest read is that Pro's rate is not your rate. You are either on Growth at $499 a month for 24,000 reviews, or the volume pushes you past the published plans entirely. Work out your actual annual application count before you shortlist on the $335 figure.
The rest of the plan is metered too, in ways that are easy to miss. Offer letters with e-signature are capped at 100 documents a year on Pro, 200 on Growth and 300 on Enterprise. The AI notetaker is capped at 50, 100 and 150 hours a year, with additional blocks of 100 hours available for purchase through your customer success manager. Data migration includes 5,000 candidates.
| Annual allowance | Recruit Pro | Recruit Growth | Recruit Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Resume Review | 6,000 a year | 24,000 a year | 36,000 a year |
| Equivalent per month | about 500 | about 2,000 | about 3,000 |
| E-signature offer documents | 100 a year | 200 a year | 300 a year |
| AI notetaker hours | 50 a year | 100 a year | 150 a year |
| Data migration included | 5,000 candidates | 5,000 candidates | 5,000 candidates |

What is not included in the Spark Hire price?
Three things, and two of them are the sort of item a procurement process discovers late.
API access is a paid add-on on both Recruit Pro and Recruit Growth. It is included only on Enterprise, which has no published rate. If your plan involves pushing candidate data into a data warehouse, a reporting stack or an internal tool, that is a line item on top of the $335 or $499, and you will not find its price on the pricing page.
Single sign-on is the same story. Add-on on Pro, add-on on Growth, included on Enterprise. For a US company with a security team that requires SSO on every system holding candidate records, that turns a published rate into a quote again.
The third is headcount. Spark Hire is explicit that the published figures apply to companies with up to 50 employees and that pricing scales above that. It does not publish the scale. A 150-person employer is inside the Pro plan's eligibility, is definitely not paying $335, and has no way to estimate the gap from the public page. Ask for the rate at your actual headcount in the first sales conversation rather than the fourth.
Worth crediting on the other side of the ledger: unlimited admin, recruiter and hiring manager seats on every Recruit plan, SOC 2 Type II on every plan, 24 by 6 support at no charge, and implementation support and training included for all new ATS customers. Unlimited users in particular is a real advantage against per-seat competitors, and it matters most for exactly the teams where per-seat pricing hurts. Our comparison of the best ATS for recruiters works through that arithmetic against agency headcounts.
This is the structural difference between buying a system of record with a screening feature and buying a screening layer. Prescreener charges for reading applications, which is the thing that scales with your hiring, and there is no seat count, no API tier and no annual review allowance sitting between you and the pile. It runs in front of the applicant tracking system you already have, including Spark Hire, so nothing migrates.
| Capability | Recruit Pro | Recruit Growth | Recruit Enterprise |

How does Spark Hire pricing compare with other applicant tracking systems?
Spark Hire sits in the middle of the published field and well below the quote-only tier. Its real distinction is not the rate, it is that unlimited users are included, which changes the comparison completely depending on how many people in your business touch the hiring system.
Against per-seat vendors, Spark Hire's flat rate gets better as the team grows and worse as it shrinks. Manatal at $15 per user per month is dramatically cheaper for three recruiters and roughly comparable at twenty-two. Bullhorn at $99 per user per month passes Spark Hire's Pro rate at four users. Against flat-rate vendors, Spark Hire is the more expensive option: CVViZ charges $99 to $499 a month flat with unlimited users, and JazzHR starts at $1,000 a year.
Against the quote-only platforms the comparison is easier to read. Contract data from Vendr puts the median Greenhouse buyer at $26,611 a year and the median Lever buyer at $15,400. Recruit Pro at $335 a month is $4,020 a year. Spark Hire is not competing for the same buyer as those two, and it does not pretend to.
The feature comparison that matters for a screening buyer is narrower. Spark Hire reviews resumes with AI on every plan, subject to the annual cap. BambooHR has no native AI resume screening at all. Bullhorn gates its screening score behind quote-only tiers. SmartRecruiters puts AI candidate screening on its High Volume edition, which is also quote-only. Ashby and Manatal include AI review on their entry plans. Our full applicant tracking system pricing comparison lays every published rate side by side.
| Platform | Entry rate | Pricing unit | AI resume screening on the entry plan? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manatal | $15 a month | Per user | Yes |
| Bullhorn | $99 a month | Per user | No, gated to quote-only tiers |
| CVViZ | $99 a month | Flat, unlimited users | Yes |
| BambooHR | $10 a month | Per employee | No native AI screening |
| Breezy HR | Free, then $157 a month | Flat | Add-on credits |
| Workable | $299 a month | Flat, employee bands | Yes, Screening Assistant |
| Ashby | $300 a month | Flat, employee bands | Yes, credit metered |
| Spark Hire Recruit Pro | $335 a month | Flat, unlimited users | Yes, 6,000 reviews a year |
| Lever | Not published | Quote only | Yes, in the Core Platform |
| Greenhouse | Not published | Quote only | Yes, Talent Matching |
