hireEZ pricing: hireEZ cost per month, the $494 solo plan, and what teams actually pay

hireEZ now publishes exactly one number. Its pricing page says solo recruiters start at $494 a month with a 7-day free trial. Everything above one recruiter is quoted: hireEZ says seats are still part of the model, but team pricing is "configured to the stack hireEZ replaces rather than a flat per-seat rate times headcount", and it runs a four-week verification with your team before you sign.

The best public anchor for a team contract is Vendr's buyer data, which puts the median hireEZ purchase at $13,000 a year, in a range of $7,000 to $25,000. The $169 and $199 per seat figures on most review and competitor sites are labelled as estimates by the sites themselves, and none of them mentions the $494 solo rate. Below is every source graded, the arithmetic for a solo seat against a team contract, what hireEZ's Applicant Review actually does with inbound resumes, and what to get in writing.

Why it works

What a published screening price changes for a team pricing hireEZ

A rate for the whole team

Prescreener publishes $199, $499 and $1,290 a month for the account, not per recruiter. You can budget the screening line this week instead of after a four-week verification.

Built for the pile you already have

hireEZ is strongest at finding people who have not applied. If the problem is 300 applicants nobody has read, Prescreener reads every one against your criteria and ranks them with written reasons.

Month to month

No annual contract and no stack-consolidation negotiation. Run it on one requisition, and if it does not save your recruiters time, stop.

What it handles

Parsed, scored and ranked on autopilot

Prescreener reads every inbound resume, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, asks the screening questions you set, scores role-fit against consistent criteria, and ranks the applicant pile so your recruiters review the top matches first.

  • Reads 100 percent of inbound resumes as each application arrives
  • Applies your knockout and eligibility rules identically to every applicant
  • Scores role-fit with the written evidence behind each placement
  • Ranks the whole pile so recruiters open the strongest matches first
  • Runs alongside Workday, Greenhouse, Lever or any ATS you already use
  • Published monthly pricing per account, not per recruiter seat
  • Never auto-rejects: it ranks and flags, and a recruiter decides
  • Bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144

Why Prescreener

One step that screens the whole inbound pile

Not a full ATS, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Parse, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the criteria you already hire on.

Reads every resume

Prescreener parses every inbound application, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, and asks the screening questions you set. Applicants consent and are told AI is screening their application, so no qualified person sits in a backlog for days.

Scores role-fit consistently

Every applicant is scored against the same criteria, with a transparent reason on each candidate, so the pile is compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144.

Ranks the pile

The strongest matches rise to the top of a ranked pile your recruiters review first. Prescreener never auto-rejects, it ranks and flags candidates for review, and your team makes every decision.

In depth

hireEZ pricing, source by source and seat by seat

How much does hireEZ cost?

For one recruiter, $494 a month. That is the only price on hireez.com, and it comes with a 7-day free trial you can start from the pricing page without a sales call. hireEZ's own FAQ repeats it: "For an individual recruiter getting started, hireEZ begins at $494/mo with a 7-day free trial."

For a team, hireEZ will not publish a number, and it explains why. Its pricing FAQ says it used to list a flat seat rate and stopped because "a flat, published seat rate describes a single tool", while hireEZ now bundles sourcing, CRM, outreach, screening, scheduling and analytics on top of your ATS. Team pricing is set against the four to six tools it expects to replace, and the page offers a Stack-Cost Worksheet where you enter what you pay today. It deliberately shows no hireEZ price in that worksheet.

The strongest outside number is Vendr's. Its hireEZ page shows a median buyer at $13,000 a year, with contracts from about $7,000 to $25,000. Vendr describes the pricing as custom quotes driven by seat count, candidate volume, the modules you pick (AI sourcing, screening, engagement) and contract length, typically on annual terms.

The $169 and $199 per user per month figures that fill most search results are the part to discount. The sites that print them call them industry estimates, name tiers such as Startup and Professional that do not appear anywhere on hireez.com today, and do not mention the $494 solo rate. Given that hireEZ says it once published a seat price and then dropped it, those numbers are most likely leftovers from that older model. Treat them as history, not as a quote.

hireEZ pricing per month: one seat against a team contract

The solo rate makes the arithmetic easy for one person. At $494 a month, a single recruiter pays $5,928 a year. hireEZ's trial link on the pricing page goes to a plan it labels Growth, which suggests the solo rate is month to month, but the page does not state a commitment term, so confirm it at checkout.

For a team, the monthly figure depends on what you replace. Vendr's $13,000 median is roughly what two solo seats would cost over a year, and its $25,000 high is roughly four. That is not how hireEZ prices a team (it quotes against your stack, not seat times rate), but it gives you a sanity check when the quote arrives: a proposal far above $25,000 a year for a small team is buying modules you should be able to name.

hireEZ's case for the higher number is consolidation. It argues that a team paying separately for LinkedIn Recruiter seats, a candidate CRM, an outreach tool, screening, scheduling and analytics will spend less on one hireEZ contract, and its worksheet assumes you can cut LinkedIn Recruiter seats by 50 percent at the conservative end. Whether that holds depends entirely on which of those contracts you actually have. If you only have an ATS and a pile of applicants, there is nothing to consolidate, and the comparison is simply hireEZ's quote against what the screening job alone costs.

Does hireEZ screen inbound applicants?

Yes, and most hireEZ pricing articles miss it. hireEZ is best known for outbound sourcing across 45+ platforms and more than a billion profiles, but it also sells Applicant Review, which it describes as AI that helps you "screen, match, and sort resumes faster" and "screens candidates as they apply" inside your ATS. hireEZ claims it reduces manual review by 80 percent; that is a vendor figure, not an audit.

The mechanics are published in its FAQ. hireEZ uses natural language processing to build an Ideal Persona from your job description, and each applicant is labelled Best Match, Good Match, Partial Match or Not a Match. A recruiter can fine-tune the persona and then Advance or Reject each applicant by hand. Applicant Review reads only what the applicant submitted, "typically their resume and application form", and does not pull in open-web or social data. ResumeSense, sold with it, flags inconsistencies that may point to a fraudulent resume.

What hireEZ does not publish is the price of any of that. Applicant Review is not itemized on the pricing page, and the page does not say whether the $494 solo plan includes it. For a team it is one of the modules Vendr lists as a cost driver, so ask for it by name in the quote. Integrations named on the product page include Workday, Greenhouse and Lever, with 40+ native ATS integrations claimed on the pricing page.

Four match bands are useful for triage, but they are coarse. If 120 applicants land in Best Match, you still need an order within the band and a reason you can defend for each placement. That is the part candidate scoring software built for the inbound pile is meant to cover.

Outbound sourcing and outreach Yes, the core product No, screening only

What should you get in writing in a hireEZ quote?

Because hireEZ prices a team against the stack it replaces, the quote is only as good as the scope written into it. Five items are worth pinning down before you sign.

First, the seat count and what a seat includes, since hireEZ says seats are still part of the model. Second, the modules by name: sourcing, Talent CRM, Applicant Review, Conversational AI (its voice screening), AI Scheduler and Hiring Intelligence are listed separately on its own navigation, and the quote should say which you are buying. Third, the contract term and renewal: Vendr describes annual subscriptions and lower per-seat rates on multi-year terms, and third-party writeups report auto-renewal with a 60 to 90 day cancellation window, which we could not confirm from a hireEZ document. Ask for a renewal cap in writing either way.

Fourth, the outcome of the four-week verification. hireEZ offers it as proof before you sign, so write down what success means for your team (response rates, roles filled from your existing database, recruiter hours) before it starts. Fifth, if you are buying mainly to screen inbound applicants, ask how Applicant Review is priced on its own and compare that to a dedicated screening tool, rather than paying for a sourcing platform to get it.

Ask for Why it matters
Seat count and seat definition Seats remain part of hireEZ's model even though the quote is stack-based
Modules named line by line Applicant Review, Conversational AI and Scheduler are separate products
Term and renewal cap Annual is typical; multi-year lowers the seat rate but locks you in
Verification success criteria Four weeks is hireEZ's own proof step; define the result first
Standalone Applicant Review price The fairest comparison if screening is the real need

hireEZ vs Prescreener: which fits a US hiring team?

They start from opposite ends of the funnel. hireEZ is built for teams that need more candidates: hard technical, cleared or healthcare roles where the right person is not applying, and a recruiter has to find them across LinkedIn and the open web and run the outreach. If that is your bottleneck, hireEZ's sourcing depth is the reason to pay for it, and its Applicant Review is a sensible add-on once the pipeline fills.

Prescreener fits when the pipeline is already full. A role that draws 250 applications, a recruiter who reads the first 30, and qualified people buried under the rest: Prescreener reads every one, applies your knockout and eligibility rules the same way to everyone, scores role-fit with the evidence behind each score, and ranks the pile, with a person making every decision. Plans are $199, $499 or $1,290 a month for the account on the Prescreener pricing page, month to month.

If hireEZ is on a shortlist with other sourcing and CRM tools, our hireEZ vs Gem comparison covers the most common head-to-head, including which of the two scores inbound applications and on which plan. The hireEZ alternative page covers the inbound case in more depth, the Eightfold AI pricing breakdown covers the enterprise talent-intelligence option, and the ATS pricing comparison lists every vendor that publishes a rate.
