Recruitee pricing and Tellent Recruitee cost on the Start, Advance and Optimize plans
Recruitee does not publish a price. Its pricing page, run by parent company Tellent, lists three plans, Start, Advance and Optimize, and says subscriptions are tiered by the plan you choose, the number of employees at your organization and your billing period. Annual billing takes 20 percent off, the minimum commitment is one year, and every plan button leads to a trial or a sales conversation rather than a rate.

The number Recruitee does print is the one that decides the plan. Its AI Screening Assistant, which reads each CV, cover letter and screening answer against criteria you set, is not on Start at all, runs at 100 screenings a month on Advance, and only reaches full functionality on Optimize. Below is every Recruitee price in circulation graded by source, what each plan includes, the 5 percent renewal increase Tellent announced for 2026, and what it costs to have every inbound applicant ranked.

Why it works
What a published screening price changes for a team pricing Recruitee
A rate before the trial ends
Recruitee quotes by headcount after you talk to sales. Prescreener publishes $199, $499 and $1,290 a month, or half that billed yearly, so you can budget the screening layer the same afternoon.
Every applicant read, not 100
Advance includes 100 AI screenings a month. One busy role can use that up in a week. Prescreener Starter reads and ranks up to 1,000 applicants a month.
A ranked shortlist with reasons
Recruitee's assistant reports how many of your criteria each candidate meets and refuses to rank. Prescreener scores role-fit, ranks the pile and writes the evidence behind each placement.
What it handles
Parsed, scored and ranked on autopilot
Prescreener reads every inbound resume, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, asks the screening questions you set, scores role-fit against consistent criteria, and ranks the applicant pile so your recruiters review the top matches first.
- Reads every resume, cover letter and screening answer as it arrives, with no monthly screening allowance
- Applies your knockout rules, such as work authorization, location or a required license, the same way to every applicant
- Scores role-fit with the written evidence behind each score
- Ranks the pile so recruiters open the strongest applicants first
- Runs next to Recruitee or any other ATS, so nothing has to be migrated
Why Prescreener
One step that screens the whole inbound pile
Not a full ATS, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Parse, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the criteria you already hire on.
Reads every resume
Prescreener parses every inbound application, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, and asks the screening questions you set. Applicants consent and are told AI is screening their application, so no qualified person sits in a backlog for days.
Scores role-fit consistently
Every applicant is scored against the same criteria, with a transparent reason on each candidate, so the pile is compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144.
Ranks the pile
The strongest matches rise to the top of a ranked pile your recruiters review first. Prescreener never auto-rejects, it ranks and flags candidates for review, and your team makes every decision.
In depth
Recruitee pricing, plan by plan and source by source
How much does Recruitee cost?
Recruitee does not say. recruitee.com/pricing and Tellent's platform pricing page both list Start, Advance and Optimize with feature lists and no figure. The only pricing facts printed are the inputs: plan, number of employees and billing period, a 20 percent discount for paying annually, a minimum commitment of one year and a monthly payment option. A free trial needs no credit card.
Third-party sites fill the gap, and they disagree. AvaHR, which sells a competing HR product, printed Start at $354 a month for 5 jobs, Advance at $451 a month and Optimize from $1,664 a month in a December 2025 article, and notes that its dollar figures were converted from euros at the time of writing. Other comparison sites list every tier as contact sales. Treat any single dollar figure for Recruitee as one company's quote at one headcount, converted from another currency, and ask for yours in writing in US dollars.

Recruitee Start vs Advance vs Optimize
Start is for early-stage teams. It caps you at 5 active job posts, gives you a single-page careers site, and covers multi-job-board posting, team collaboration, candidate management, AI email writing, calendar sync, basic reporting and the mobile app. There is no AI that reads applications on Start.
Advance is the plan most growing teams are quoted. It lifts the job limit to unlimited and adds a multi-page careers site, referrals, knockout questions, workflow automations, candidate self-scheduling, structured evaluation forms, offer letters and the two AI assistants with monthly allowances. Optimize adds full Screening Assistant functionality, 65 Matching Assistant searches a month, fairness tools, requisition approvals, SSO, API support and a dedicated customer success manager.

Does Recruitee use AI to screen resumes, and how many screenings do you get?
Yes, on Advance and Optimize. The Screening Assistant reviews each candidate's CV, cover letter and screening question answers against up to 6 job-specific criteria you write, and shows how many of them were met. Advance includes 100 screenings a month, Optimize has full functionality, and trial accounts get 10 to test it. Recruitee's help center says the assistant ignores name, age, contact details, gender and nationality.
Two limits matter for a busy team. The first is volume: a single well-advertised US role commonly draws 200 to 400 applications, so 100 screenings a month covers part of one requisition. The second is the output. Recruitee states plainly that the assistant will not give you rankings, suitability scores or top candidate lists. You get a count of criteria met per candidate and then you sort and read. Our review of Recruitee's AI resume screening goes through what that looks like on a real pipeline.
| Screening task | Recruitee Advance | Prescreener Starter |
|---|---|---|
| Applicants read by AI each month | 100 screenings | Up to 1,000 applicants |
| What it reads | CV, cover letter, screening answers | Resume, application and screening answers |
| Criteria per job | Up to 6 | Your full rubric, knockouts plus weighted criteria |
| Output per applicant | Criteria met, for example 5 of 6 | Role-fit score, rank and written reasons |
| Ranks the pile | No, by design | Yes |
| Published price | No | $199 a month, or $99 billed yearly |

Recruitee price increase and contract terms to check
Recruitee announced a 5 percent list price increase that applies to every customer renewal falling on or after January 1, 2026. Existing quotes are honored until they expire, discounts already written into auto-renewal terms are kept, invoices already paid are unaffected, and multi-year contracts only move at the start of the next term. If you are signing now, ask for the renewal cap in writing so the year-two price is known before you commit to year one.
The other terms worth a line in the order form are the one-year minimum, which applies even if you pay monthly, the headcount band your price is tied to, and the paid add-ons: SSO on Start, Texting, Journeys for onboarding, AgencyHub, WhatsApp Hiring and the Tellent HR system. Ask what happens to the price if your employee count crosses the next band mid-term, because headcount, not hiring volume, is what Recruitee prices on.
What to budget for a year of Recruitee
Because Recruitee prints no rate, budget by pricing each line a quote can contain. The table runs the only third-party figures in circulation over a year and puts the screening layer next to them. Use the Recruitee numbers as an order of magnitude, since they were converted from euros at one headcount in December 2025, before the 5 percent renewal increase.
Then decide what you are actually buying. If you want a full applicant tracking system with a careers site and referrals, Recruitee deserves a quote, and so do Teamtailor pricing and Manatal pricing, which compete for the same small and mid-sized teams. If your ATS already works and the problem is that applications arrive faster than anyone can read them, ranking every applicant costs $1,188 a year on Prescreener Starter billed yearly. The ATS pricing comparison lines up 28 systems on the same basis.
| Line | Monthly | One year | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recruitee Start, 5 jobs, no AI screening | About $354 | About $4,250 | AvaHR, Dec 2025, converted from euros |
| Recruitee Advance, 100 AI screenings a month | About $451 | About $5,410 | Same source |
| Recruitee Optimize, full AI screening | From about $1,664 | From about $19,970 | Same source |

Recruitee vs Prescreener, which fits your team?
Recruitee is a well-liked ATS with a strong careers site builder, and if you are replacing spreadsheets or an older system it is worth trialing. Its AI is deliberately cautious: it checks criteria, hides personal details and leaves the ranking to you. If that is what your legal team wants, it is a coherent choice. Our comparisons of Tellent Recruitee vs Teamtailor and Tellent Recruitee vs SmartRecruiters cover the ATS decision itself.
Prescreener does one job. It reads every inbound application, applies your knockout and eligibility rules the same way to every applicant, scores role-fit and ranks the pile with a written reason for each placement, alongside Recruitee or whatever ATS you keep. A human reviews every shortlist and nobody is auto-rejected, and the scoring is bias-audited for EEOC guidance and NYC Local Law 144. If you are weighing a switch away from Recruitee altogether, the Recruitee alternative page compares the options.

Teamtailor pricing
Teamtailor publishes no price. Here is each one graded, the add-ons that do cost extra, and what it costs to have your applicants ranked instead of checked.
