Hireology pricing, how much Hireology costs, and what Core and Perform each include
Hireology does not publish a price. Its packages page lists two plans, Core and Perform, with a Get Started button on Core and Book a Demo on Perform, and no dollar figure anywhere on the page. hireology.com/pricing returns a 404. The only rate Hireology itself publishes is on its AI Interview fair-use policy: $3 for each AI interview over your monthly cap.

The prices most articles quote, about $249 a month for an Essentials plan and $499 for Professional, come from third-party blogs and describe plan names that no longer appear on Hireology's site. What does appear is the line that matters for screening: AI Match, which evaluates every applicant the moment they apply, and AI Candidate Summary are Perform features, not Core. Below is each source graded, what each plan includes, and what to ask before you sign.
Why it works
What a published screening price changes for a team pricing Hireology
A number before the demo
Hireology quotes both plans. Prescreener publishes $199, $499 and $1,290 a month for the whole account, so a location manager or HR lead can write a budget line today.
Ranking without a platform switch
AI Match only comes with Perform. If the problem is 200 applicants per opening across your stores, Prescreener reads every one against your criteria and ranks them with written reasons, next to the ATS you already run.
Month to month
No annual term to negotiate and no interview cap to model. Run it on one location's openings, and stop if it does not save your managers time.
What it handles
Parsed, scored and ranked on autopilot
Prescreener reads every inbound resume, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, asks the screening questions you set, scores role-fit against consistent criteria, and ranks the applicant pile so your recruiters review the top matches first.
- Reads 100 percent of inbound resumes as each application arrives
- Applies your knockout and eligibility rules identically at every location
- Scores role-fit with the written evidence behind each placement
- Ranks the whole pile so managers open the strongest matches first
- Works alongside Hireology, Workday, Greenhouse or any ATS you already use
- Published monthly pricing per account, not per location or seat
- Never auto-rejects: it ranks and flags, and a person decides
- Bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144
Why Prescreener
One step that screens the whole inbound pile
Not a full ATS, not a six-figure assessment suite, and not a staffing agency. Parse, score, rank and hand off in one place, shaped to the criteria you already hire on.
Reads every resume
Prescreener parses every inbound application, applies your knockout and eligibility criteria, and asks the screening questions you set. Applicants consent and are told AI is screening their application, so no qualified person sits in a backlog for days.
Scores role-fit consistently
Every applicant is scored against the same criteria, with a transparent reason on each candidate, so the pile is compared consistently and the scoring stays bias-audited to support EEOC standards and NYC Local Law 144.
Ranks the pile
The strongest matches rise to the top of a ranked pile your recruiters review first. Prescreener never auto-rejects, it ranks and flags candidates for review, and your team makes every decision.
In depth
Hireology pricing, source by source and plan by plan
How much does Hireology cost?
Hireology does not say. The packages page at hireology.com/packages is the closest thing to a pricing page, and it lists features, not prices: Core with a Get Started button, Perform marked Recommended with Book a Demo, and a set of add-ons behind Get Quote. The page FAQ is titled "Everything you need to know about the product and billing" and still contains no rate. The path to a number is a demo followed by a quote.
Third-party figures fill the gap, and most of them are stale. Several competitor blogs put Hireology at about $249 a month for "Essentials" and about $499 for "Professional". Neither plan name is on Hireology's site today, so treat those numbers as estimates of an older lineup, not as the price of Core or Perform. G2 reviewers from dealerships describe a flat fee per rooftop, which fits how Hireology sells to multi-location operators, but Hireology does not publish the per-location rate. The one figure it does publish is $3 per AI interview beyond your monthly fair-use cap.
| Source | What it says about Hireology cost | How far to trust it |
|---|---|---|
| hireology.com/packages | Two plans, Core and Perform, plus six add-ons. No prices | Primary source for what is included. Silent on cost |
| hireology.com/pricing | Returns a 404 | There is no pricing page to find |
| AI Interview fair-use policy (Hireology) | $3 per AI interview over the monthly cap, cap set by employee count | Primary source. The only published rate |
| Competitor blogs (AvaHR and others) | About $249 a month Essentials, about $499 Professional | Low. Plan names Hireology no longer uses, no source given |
| G2 dealership reviewers | Flat fee per rooftop | Buyer-reported pricing model, not a rate |
| Vendr | No Hireology listing | No contract median exists to anchor on |

Hireology Core vs Perform, what each plan includes
Both plans carry the same applicant tracking base. Unlimited jobs and users, branded career sites, job board distribution, sponsored job management, pre-screen surveys, bulk text and email, candidate self-scheduling, an unlimited location hierarchy, SSO, reporting by hiring manager or location, and open API access are checked on both columns of Hireology's comparison table. For a single store that only needs to post jobs and move applicants through stages, Core covers it.
The difference is almost entirely AI. Perform adds AI Candidate Summary (a brief on each applicant's strengths, gaps and suggested interview questions), AI Match (automatic evaluation of every applicant against role attributes), and the compliance layer behind them: regulatory mapping, third-party fairness auditing and EEOC-guided bias testing. Hireology's own FAQ puts it in one line: Perform adds AI Match, AI Candidate Summary and enhanced compliance and trust capabilities.

Hireology AI pricing, what AI Match and AI Interview cost
AI Match and AI Candidate Summary have no separate price because they are part of Perform. The cost of AI screening at Hireology is therefore the gap between your Core quote and your Perform quote, which is the number to ask for in writing. AI Match scores each applicant against attributes the system suggests for the role (experience, certifications, role-specific skills), shows the evidence behind each matched attribute, lets you filter by those attributes, and re-matches when you change them.
AI Interview is sold on top of Perform and is metered. It runs a structured voice screen by SMS or email and returns a scored transcript. Hireology's fair-use policy caps monthly interviews by company size, starting at 25 a month for up to 50 employees and rising to 3,000 above 5,000 employees, and bills $3 for every interview over the cap. A 150-employee dealership group is capped at 75 a month; screening 200 applicants in a busy month means 125 extra interviews, or $375 on top of the subscription. That arithmetic uses only Hireology's published figures.
| Employees | AI Interview cap per month | Cost of 100 interviews over the cap |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 50 | 25 | $300 |
| 101 to 150 | 75 | $300 |
| 251 to 300 | 150 | $300 |
| 501 to 600 | 300 | $300 |
| 901 to 1,000 | 500 | $300 |
| 2,001 to 2,500 | 1,250 | $300 |
| More than 5,001 | 3,000 | $300 |

Hireology add-ons and what they are built on
Six upgrades sit outside both plans, each quoted separately. Several are resold partner products, which is worth knowing because the partner's pricing shapes the quote. Hireology says features can be added a la carte to either plan, with one exception: AI Interview is only for Perform customers. It also says customers who buy Enhanced Onboarding before December 31, 2026 get Enhanced Offer Letters bundled for their term.
| Add-on | What it does | Available on |
|---|---|---|
| AI Interview | Voice screening with scored transcripts, multilingual | Perform only, $3 per interview over cap |
| Enhanced Onboarding | Mobile document collection, dual signatures, audit tracking | Core or Perform, quoted |
| Background Screening | Role-based packages, powered by Accurate Background | Core or Perform, quoted |
| Skills Testing | Pre-built tests for frontline and skilled roles | Core or Perform, quoted |
| Reference Checks | Multi-rater reference reports, powered by SkillSurvey | Core or Perform, quoted |
| Payroll and HR | Payroll, tax, time and attendance, benefits, powered by Netchex | Core or Perform, quoted |

Does Hireology screen resumes with AI?
Yes, on Perform. AI Match evaluates each applicant at the moment of application against the attributes you set for the role and shows supporting evidence, so a manager can filter to the candidates who meet what matters. It is trained, Hireology says, on role types specific to multi-location operators in automotive, healthcare and hospitality. On Core there is no AI evaluation of applicants: you get pre-screen surveys, which ask knockout-style questions, and a searchable resume database.
So the honest answer for a Core customer is no. If your team already runs Hireology Core and the pain is reading every application for technicians, CNAs or line cooks, the options are an upgrade quote to Perform or a screening layer that reads the pile without replacing the ATS. Prescreener is the second kind: it reads 100 percent of inbound resumes, applies your applicant eligibility screening rules, and ranks the pile with the reason for every score, the same way our candidate scoring software page describes.
| Screening task | Hireology Core | Hireology Perform | Prescreener |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reads every inbound resume with AI | No | Yes, AI Match | Yes |
| Knockout and eligibility questions | Pre-screen surveys | Pre-screen surveys | Yes, applied to every applicant |
| Written reason behind each evaluation | No | Supporting evidence per attribute | Yes, per criterion |
| Ranked shortlist of the pile | No | Filter by matched attributes | Yes |
| Published price | No | No | $199, $499, $1,290 a month |

What to get in writing in a Hireology quote
Because nothing is published, the quote is the price. The items below are the ones that move the total for multi-location buyers, and each one is either a per-location question or an AI question. Ask for all of them before the first renewal date is set.
| Ask for | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Price per location (rooftop) and how new locations are added | Reviewers describe per-rooftop pricing. Acquisitions and new stores change the bill |
| Core price and Perform price side by side | The gap is what AI Match and AI Candidate Summary actually cost you |
| Your AI Interview cap in writing, by employee band | Overage is $3 each, and the cap follows headcount, not hiring volume |
| Which add-ons are partner-billed | Background checks and payroll carry partner pricing on top |
| Contract length and renewal uplift | The packages page lists no term length or annual discount |
| Implementation tier and fee | Hireology offers flexible service tiers from one location to large enterprises, priced separately |

Hireology vs Prescreener, which fits your hiring team?
Hireology is a full applicant tracking system built for multi-location employers, with career sites, job distribution, scheduling, onboarding and payroll add-ons. If you are replacing spreadsheets or a basic ATS across 20 dealerships or care facilities, that breadth is the point, and a quote is worth getting. Compare it with CareerPlug pricing, the closest published-price ATS for franchise and multi-unit hiring, and the rest in our ATS pricing comparison.
Prescreener does one job: it reads the inbound pile and ranks it. It is the better fit when you already have an ATS, including Hireology Core, and the bottleneck is the hours managers spend on applications that were never qualified. Pricing is published, month to month, for the whole account. See how it handles seasonal peaks on the hospitality hiring and high-volume recruiting software pages.
| Question | Hireology | Prescreener |

| AI applicant evaluation | Perform plan only | Every plan |
| Contract | Quoted term | Month to month |
| Replaces your ATS | Yes | No, runs alongside it |
| Best for | Groups standardizing hiring across many locations | Teams drowning in applicants on the ATS they have |
